BACKGROUND
Background
The agreement with the North Carolina Department of Transportation-Integrated Mobility Department provides 85% administrative assistance related to the administration of the county’s public transit system for salaries and fringes, vehicle insurance, uniforms for drivers, travel, drug and alcohol testing, advertisement, postage, office supplies, telephone, computer program services and dues and memberships.
In the agreement Guilford County will be entitled to receive a maximum of $211,255 in 5311 Community Transportation Grant for administrative funds to be matched by local funds of 15% $31,689. The Federal share is 80% $169,004 and the State share is 5% $10,562 for the term of the contract. These federal and state funds, in the amount of $211,255 have been obligated and committed to Guilford County as sub-recipient under the North Carolina Department of Transportation.
In the agreement Guilford County will be entitled to receive a maximum in Federal dollars from NCDOT-Integrated Mobility Department as sub-recipient. The 5310 - Enhanced Mobility for Seniors and Individuals with Disabilities. The total amount of the 5310 Grant is for FY2024 of $200,000 with a 50% County match of $100,000.
The grant application for the 5310 program provides funding for salaries and vehicle maintenance expenses for the Guilford County Transportation Department.
