BACKGROUND
background
On June 16, 2016, the Guilford County BOC approved a contract extension with Aramark Correctional Services, LLC to provide food services for the Sheriff's Detention facilities, as well as, the Juvenile Detention facility, for a period of ninety (90) days effective July 1, 2016, to allow time for review of bid event responses and awarding of new contracts.
Responses for Bid Event 528 were due by June 14, 2016, and staff recommend awarding price only contracts totaling $1,619,722.50 to Aramark Correctional Services, LLC, to provide food services for inmates housed in the Guilford County Jail Central (Greensboro) and High Point Detention Center, and Guilford County Juvenile Detention Center at the rates listed below:

Approve price only contracts, in substantial form, with Aramark Correctional Services, LLC to provide food services to inmates housed in the Guilford County Jail Central (Greensboro) and High Point Detention Center in the amount of $1,419,886.83, as well as, Guilford County Juvenile Detention Center in the amount of $199,835.67, for an initial term of one (1) year, with four (4) one-year renewal options.
