BACKGROUND
Background
DHHS-Public Health Division will enter into a contract with Guilford County Schools (GCS) to reimburse them for forty (40) school nurses to support school health activities, including testing. These positions will be supported through an award received from NC Department of Public Health-Women's & Children's Health/Children & Youth for ELC Testing - School Health Staffing. The contract amount is up to $2,280,000 which will be covered by funding approved as part of a larger award during the September 16, 2021 Board of Commissioners regular meeting. The initial end date of this contract is May 31, 2022, which could be extended contingent upon reallocation of funding.
