BACKGROUND

Background

The NC Association of County Commissioners (NCACC) requires the Board of Commissioners to designate a voting delegate and an alternate voting delegate for its 2026 Annual Conference to be held August 20-22, 2026 in Durham County.  The selected voting delegate, or alternate, will represent Guilford County during the Annual Business Session where a quorum of representatives from all counties within each district must be present to nominate, select and elect NCACC "County Caucus" members through a simple majority vote.

Select voting delegate, Chairman Melvin "Skip" Alston , and alternate voting delegate, Vice Chairwoman J. Carlvena Foster, to represent Guilford County during the 2026 NCACC Annual Conference.
