BACKGROUND
Background
This agenda item seeks to approve releasing funds to return back to the NC Department of Public Safety (NCDPS) in the amount of $27,008 and the associated funding plan. Guilford County administers pass through funds on behalf of NCDPS to Youth Focus. Youth Focus “HEARTH Transitional Living Program” is requesting to release and return underutilized funds back to the NCDPS. This request is as the result of 3rd Quarter Accounting expenditure calculations and to align with the actual expense needs during FY25-26. The total request to release funds back to NC DPS will be a total of $27,008. This will also alleviate the potential need for refunds after Final Accounting calculations.

Requested Action
Amend the FY26 NCDPS Youth Focus Grant project to decrease the appropriation by $27,008 with a decrease of $27,008 in Federal/State Funds. Approve releasing funds to return to NC Department of Public Safety in the amount of $27,008 during FY 2025-2026 and approve the revised funding plan.
