BACKGROUND
Background
DHHS-Public Health Division Pharmacy Program applied for and received one-time grant funds from the North Carolina Association of Free & Charitable Clinics as part of their state appropriation also known as the State Fiscal Recovery Fund (SFRF) Directed grant, which was awarded for activities directed toward improving infrastructure and mitigation relating to COVID recovery efforts. The program has served the following numbers of clients:
FY 2021-22: 6,211
FY 2020-21: 5,131
FY 2019-20: 6,835
Additionally the following number of prescriptions have been filled through the program:
FY 2021-22: 44,237
FY 2020-21: 42,681
FY 2019-20: 49,442
Funding from this award will be used to make changes and updates to current pharmacy software and to purchase medications for eligible clients who participate in our medication assistance program.
