BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County wishes to enter into a Sub-Lease of 7,500 square feet of space located at 2301 West Meadowview Road, Greensboro, NC, commonly referred to as the NCWorks Building, from the City of Greensboro. Guilford County would like to enter into the lease on September 1, 2022 for a period of ten (10) months, expiring June 30, 2023. Staff will return at a later date to add two (2) years onto this lease, which will then expire on June 30, 2025. The Greensboro City Council approved this lease on August 16, 2022.
Rent for this lease is $75,000 annually, or $10.00 a square foot, with a ten (10) month total of $62,500.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve, in substantial form, the lease agreement between Guilford County and the City of Greensboro for 7,500 square feet of property located at 2301 West Meadoview Road, Greensboro, NC for a ten (10) month term beginning September 1, 2022 until June 30, 2023 at a total cost of $62,500. Authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said lease.
