BACKGROUND
Background
In June 2011, the Guilford County Board of Commissioners adopted a revision to Guilford County Personnel Regulation 17 discontinuing longevity pay for employees with a hire or rehire date on or after July 1, 2011. At the Board's June 16, 2022 longevity was reinstated for eligible employees hired after July 1, 2011. At that meeting, the Board directed staff to bring back any necessary changes to the County Regulations for adoption. The proposed modifications to Regulation 17 redefine the parameters for eligibility per the Board's directive (see attached).

Requested Action
Approve the revisions to Personnel Regulation 17, as provided in the attachment, reinstating Longevity Pay for all eligible Guilford County employees.
