BACKGROUND

Background

During the July 29, 2022 work session, representatives from Children's Home Society (CHI) presented on their ARPA Request for Information (RFI) submission to "Increase the Availability of Foster Families for Children in Need."  CHS has requested up to $350,000 over two (2) years to recruit, train and license foster families to meet the needs of children referred by Guilford County DHHS-DSS.  To meet current demands, CHS has a goal of licensing an additional 150 foster families within Guilford County.
