BACKGROUND
Background
The Guilford County Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) recommends an allocation of $1,289,575 in NC Department of Public Safety (NCDPS) funding and $85,000 in Guilford County funding included in the FY 2022-23 budget. A request for proposals (RFP) for use of funds within Guilford County was issued to qualified and evaluation processed community-based programs targeting delinquent or gang involved youth (ages 10-17), or those at risk of juvenile court involvement. A copy of the RFP is attached. Twenty-four (24) programs responded, and following a review of the RFP, the JCPC voted on March 31, 2022 in favor of the following allocation recommendation for FY 2022-23.
The JCPC Administrative Program Agreement is being processed as a part of the annual Guilford County Juvenile Crime Prevention Plan and Certification for FY 2022-2023. The agreement shows that the Administrative annual budget as $15,000, standards listed are true, membership information is accurate and lists terms / responsibilities under the agreement.
