BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division applied for and received an award from the Office of Rural Health in the amount of $31,900 for the Primary Care Clinic Program. This program serves patients 18 years of age and older as their medical home. This grant will help provide primary medical care services to the underinsured and underserved residents of Guilford County who would otherwise be unable to receive needed primary care services due to geographic, economic, or other barriers by assisting the Guilford County Department of Public Health with a portion of the salary and fringe costs for a Physician Extender Specialist position.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $31,900 in Federal/State Revenue and increase the FY2021-22 Department of Health & Human Services - Public Health division budget by the same amount to reflect receipt of a grant from the North Carolina Office of Rural Health to be used toward the Primary Care Clinic program.
