BACKGROUND
background
Guilford County contracts with Global Management Corporation to provide emergency housing for citizens who are ordered to quarantine and/or isolate as result of the COVID-19 pandemic. In order to continue to provide emergency housing, the DHHS-Public Health division must maintain access to a block of rooms to house patients. DHHS-Public Health requests to amend its contract with Global Management, which will reduce the number of blocked rooms reserved from 35 to 20 at the current room rate of $65.00 plus tax per night. This amendment would extend the terms of the contract through March 31, 2022 at a cost of $143,648.48, which would be covered through previously awarded and adopted COVID-19 funding; brining the total estimated cost to $594,349 for FY 21/22.
