BACKGROUND

background

The Board of Commissioners adopted the FY 2021-22 budget which included the purchase county vehicles and equipment.   The County is seeking financing for the purchase of 65 vehicles for the following departments: Fleet Operations (Planning, Tax, Parks & Recreation, Facilities, Animal Service, Fleet, Public Health); Emergency Services (Ambulances); and Law Enforcement. The purchase will replace 63 vehicles, 25 of which are Law Enforcement vehicles, and will provide two (2) new vehicles for Fleet Operations and DHHS-Social Services Division.

Adopt attached resolution authorizing and approving an installment financing contract and authorizing the execution and delivery of documents, therewith.  Approve installment financing contract, in substantial form, in the amount of $3,386,000 towards the acquisition of 65 vehicles and related costs, to be effective upon execution of financing documents.
