BACKGROUND

background

On December 17, 2020 the Guilford County Board of Commissioners, in their capacity as the Board of Health, adopted a local Board of Health rule to effect civil penalties for violations of the Governor's executive orders as it pertains to prevention requirements to help mitigate the spread of the Novel Corona Virus.  Given the complexity of managing the various efforts of the global pandemic placed on the County the rule allows for mutual aide provisions from local jurisdictions within the County should additional resources be needed to enforce the Governor's executive orders.
