BACKGROUND
background
Guilford County is a North Carolina state leader in delivering Family Justice Center services to victims of child abuse, domestic violence, sexual assault, and elder abuse.
In 2016, Guilford County designed a comprehensive software application, known as Client Manager, to be used by County staff to track client information and statistical data necessary for service delivery for all persons seeking services from the Family Justice Center.
The Guilford County FJC Director has worked with neighboring Counties to support the development of Family Justice Centers throughout the NC. The Client Manager software is unique to County government led FJC operations. Other communities developing FJCs have expressed interest in utilizing the software. Guilford County signed a similar agreement with Alamance County in 2018.
Forsyth County will open their FJC in 2021. The Forsyth County FJC Director and Information Services Department contacted Guilford County to learn more about the Client Manager software.
Guilford County and Forsyth County Information Services Departments and Family Justice Center Directors have participated in several discussions and software demonstrations. Forsyth County requested use of the software and Guilford County agreed to share the software application. Forsyth County Board of Commissioners approved the agreement on 12/17/2020. Agreement details are outlined in the attached interlocal agreement
