BACKGROUND
Background
In 2017, Guilford County Budget, Management & Evaluation was awarded grant money from the Community Foundation of Greater Greensboro as part of a partnership with the City of Greensboro's Budget and Evaluation Department. Each government agency promised financial support to the program, which involves gathering employees from both organizations for leadership, professional development, and collaboration opportunities. In FY 2021, Guilford County Budget, Management & Evaluation and Greensboro Budget & Evaluation extended this program to include the City of High Point's Budget & Evaluation Division with staff working to develop virtual workshops and events in place of the in-person events due the pandemic. Unspent grant funds in the amount of $3,187 need to be carried forward from last fiscal year and appropriated in FY 2020-21 to continue providing the innovation workshops.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $3,187 in Appropriated Fund Balance and increase the FY 2020-21 Budget, Management & Evaluation budget by the same amount to reflect the appropriation of unspent grant funds received to provide employee innovation workshops.
