BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County DHHS-Public Health Division received an award in FY 2019-20 in the amount of $65,000 from the Blue Cross Blue Shield (BCBS) Foundation for the School-Based Oral Health Initiative to assist with support of the proposed expansion program. As of June 30, 2020, $31,597 of these funds were unspent. Public Health has received approval from BCBS Foundation to carry over these unspent funds into FY 2020-21. We are requesting to increase DHHS-Public Health Division FY 2020-21 budget by this amount in order to utilize the unspent funds.
These funds will be used for hourly staff, supplies and equipment.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $31,597 in Appropriated Fund Balance and increase the FY 2020-21 Health & Human Services - Public Health Division budget by the same amount to reflect carry-over of unspent funds for the School-Based Oral Health Initiative Program. Funds will be used for staff, supplies and equipment costs.
