BACKGROUND

Background

Guilford County's FY 2020-21 adopted budget for Juvenile Crime Prevention Council (JCPC) services included $984,774 in NC Department of Public Safety funding plus $87,233 for the county's local match or $1,072,007 combined.  The current funding amounts are $1,289,575 in state funding and $85,000 in local match or $1,374,575 combined. The overall JCPC funding plan also includes other local and state/federal funds, but those dollars do not pass through the county.  In addition, the overall funding plan remains unchanged since the Board of Commissioners approved it at their July 2020 meeting.
