BACKGROUND
Background
In an effort to ensure the safety of our staff and citizens, Guilford County began searching for viable solution for automated temperature measurement systems. Currently, many of our County buildings handle temperature measurements using hand-held thermometers and require a qualified County staff member dedicated to measuring temperature for all visitors / staff members entering those buildings. While this has been effective in ensuring that no one with a high temperature is allowed to enter those facilities, it takes resources away from critical operations and it creates potential exposure since social distancing is not possible. Additionally, this method is not scalable across all potential county buildings.
In partnership with Dell technologies, IntelliSite offers fully automated Human Based body temperature detection system using Artificial Intelligence and advanced thermal cameras together with their Artificial Intelligence (AI) powered software platform. IntelliSite has been in business for over twenty (20) years building industrial automated Video systems based on AI.
Cumberland Group, a Dell Titanium partner and reseller of IntelliSite solution worked with County staff to visit the six (6) locations to provide us with a comprehensive proposal. Our request is to invest in this automated temperature monitoring system to be installed at these six (6) County locations (Block diagram with locations attached) in this first phase.
