BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County DHHS - Public Health Division has received an award in the amount of $190,000 from Duke Endowment for continuation of the School Based Oral Health Program. This program will treat 1st and 2nd graders enrolled in Title I schools throughout Greensboro and High Point. These children, who have limited or no access to dental care, will be afforded the opportunity to receive preventive dental treatment on school premises.
Funds will be used for dental materials and supplies, dental equipment, and part-time hourly positions for the program. $65,000 of this award is already included the FY 2020-2021 adopted budget.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $125,000 in Other Revenues and increase the FY 2020-2021 Health & Human Services - Public Health Division budget by the same amount to reflect funds awarded from Duke Endowment to support a School-Based Oral Health program. Funds will be used for dental materials and supplies, equipment, and hourly positions for the program.
