BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services-Public Health Division has received funds in the amount of $8,000 from Blue Cross/Blue Shield (BCBS) of NC for the Chandler Dental clinic for COVID-19 operational support. BCBS of NC recognized relatively early that operating expenses in “Safety Net” dental practices would be compromised. They reached out to clinics like ours to aid in the battle of COVID-19.
Funds will be used to purchase personal protective equipment, air purifiers and mouth rinses.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $8,000 in Other Revenues and increase the DHHS-Public Health Division FY 2019-20 budget by the same amount to reflect funds received from Blue Cross/Blue Shield of NC for Chandler Dental Clinic for COVID-19 operational support. Funds will be used for protective equipment and supplies.
