BACKGROUND
Background
The Town of Summerfield has approved and prioritized plans for a Welcome Sign to be placed at the corner of US 220 North and Strawberry Road on a parcel of property (Parcel# 146045) owned by Guilford County and the City of Greensboro consisting of 2.25 acres. The Town of Summerfield has requested that the County and the City grant a Sign Easement on our property for the construction of their Welcome Sign. The total easement will be 5,475 square feet, or 0.126 of an acre, and will be located on the southwestern corner of the property. The Welcome Sign appears to be of substantial construction, per the attached conceptual design. This is subject to approval by the Greensboro City Council and the Town of Summerfield Council.

Requested Action
Approve, in substantial form, the requested granting of a Sign Easement of 5,475 square feet, to the Town of Summerfield for the construction of a Welcome Sign, and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said granting.
