BACKGROUND

Background

Guilford County has received reimbursement for expenses incurred in relation to Hurricane Florence, which impacted the County in September 2018.  Emergency Services has already received $74,654.11 from the Federal Emergency Management Agency.  Of the total funds received, the County needs to pay $5,343.69 to the Climax Volunteer Fire Department.  The payment to the Climax Fire Department can be paid from the grant account within Emergency Services' budget, once the Board of Commissioners approves the funds.  The remainder of the funds are to be placed in the General Fund.
