BACKGROUND
Background
This property consists of 8.7 acres located at 6001 Rear Trailshead Drive in Greensboro in the Reedy Fork Subdivision. The County is seeking access to the Hines Chapel Preserve and this parcel will provide such access from Reedy Fork Parkway. The North Carolina Mountains-to-Sea Trail (MST) will locate upon this access to provide a link in the trail system that will travel through Hines Chapel Preserve. The MST system spans from Clingman's Dome on the west to Jockey's Ridge State Park on the east. The MST will provide the construction and maintenance of the Trail. This deeded ownership was requested of the City by the Guilford County Facilities, Parks, and Property Management staff.

Approve a Quitclaim Deed, in substantial form, to transfer ownership from the City of Greensboro to Guilford County, and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said Deed.
