BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County is considering entering into an incentive agreement with Syngenta Crop Protection, LLC. The incentive grant being considered for the company would total $1,907,734, based on the retention of 650 positions with an average annual salary of $107,000 and capital spend of up to $68,000,000. If the incentive is approved, a performance-based agreement will be negotiated.

Requested Action
Pursuant to NCGS 158-7.1, hold a public hearing for the purpose of receiving public input on an economic development incentive grant of $1,907,734 to Syngenta Crop Protection, LLC. Consider approval of the incentive and upon approval, direct staff to take all necessary actions to execute the incentive agreement.
