BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Parks staff is recommending the attached fee updates (highlighted), effective January 1, 2020, with the goals of a) increasing revenue, b) increasing usage, and c) improving the overall customer experience and facility operations. To determine the recommended fees, staff reviewed our internal Guilford County facility usage patterns and fees charged for comparable public facilities in the cities of Greensboro and High Point, Forsyth and Alamance counties, and private facilities as appropriate. If approved, the Parks Division anticipates the recommended fees will result in an additional $37,000 in revenue for the Division, or 3.8% increase over FY 2018-19 actuals the first full fiscal year they are in effect (FY 2020-21). The fees, as recommended, were approved by the Guilford County Parks Advisory Board at their November 12, 2019 meeting.
