BACKGROUND
background
This is a two (2) year renewal, with the option of an additional two (2) year renewal at the conclusion of the time frame, of the ambulance franchise that has been held with Piedmont Triad Ambulance and Rescue, Inc. since 1996. The terms of the contract have been specified in the attached document, and are to be signed by all parties. Additionally, the required audits have been completed by County staff, as required.
Piedmont Triad Ambulance and Rescue, Inc., and its predecessor, High Point Rescue Squad, have provided contracted non-emergency and convalescent ambulance services to the County since the 1970's, in accordance with Chapter 4 of the Guilford County Code of Ordinances. The company operated under an evergreen agreement from 1996 to 2010, until the County sent notice requesting renegotiation of the terms of agreement. The attached contract is the result of these negotiations.
