BACKGROUND
Background
The State of North Carolina, specifically the Department of Public Safety, and Guilford County wish to enter into a lease of office space for 2,756 square feet at 505 E. Green Street, High Point, NC; and 5,898 net square feet at 232 N. Edgeworth Street, Greensboro, NC, with a term of one (1) year beginning on January 1, 2020 and expiring on December 31, 2020. The lease rate will be $1.00 per term. The lease of space to the State Department of Public Safety for the use of Juvenile Justice functions is required by statute.

Requested Action
Approve, in substantial form, a one (1) year lease agreement with the North Carolina Department of Public Safety for rental of office space at the existing buildings located at 505 E. Green Street, High Point, NC, and 232 N. Edgeworth Street, Greensboro, NC, and authorize staff to take all reasonable actions to finalize and execute said lease.
