BACKGROUND
Background
Duke Energy Carolinas has a need for an easement on the frontage of 1232 Rock Creek Dairy Road (Parcel #: 108782) for the installation of a new power delivery line that will lie almost entirely within the North Carolina Department of Transportation's existing right-of-way. Due to the extent of uncertainty of the location of a power pole and transmission lines, Duke Energy felt getting an easement from Guilford County would assure them of not infringing upon the County's property rights if the location steps out of the proposed path at all. The property owned by the County is not utilized for any purpose and is watershed protection property for Lake Macintosh.
