BACKGROUND
Background
The Duke Endowment, in partnership with Ready for School, Ready for Life and Root Cause, has awarded $5,000 to each the following Guilford County Public Health programs: Pregnancy Care Management (PCM), Care Coordination for Children (CC4C), Guilford Family Connects and WIC for a total of $20,000 for year two (2) participation. The four (4) cohort members will continue to receive coaching from a Root Cause consultant over a 24-month period (July 2018 - June 2020) to strengthen their Continuous Quality Improvement capacity to improve parent and child outcomes. The funding will be utilized for client-related program supplies such as clothing, car seats and bottles.

Requested Action
Approve an increase of $20,000 in Other Revenues and increase the FY 2019-20 Department of Health & Human Services - Public Health Division budget by the same amount to reflect year two (2) funds received from The Duke Endowment, in partnership with Ready for School, Ready for Life and Root Cause, for client-related program supplies in the following Guilford County DHHS-Public Health programs: Pregnancy Care Management (PCM), Care Coordination for Children (CC4C), Guilford Family Connects and WIC.
