BACKGROUND
Background
On May 16, 2019, the Galls Contract was considered and approved by the Board. However, an error occurred in the action item requesting the total amount to be appropriated for the term of the contract as $277,590 (one year rather than the full three year amount). To correct the oversight, the Board is being asked to re-affirm the contract and appropriate funds for each year of the approved contract; $277,590 per year for an amount not expected to exceed $832,700 for the three year term of the contract; and two options for renewal.
On behalf of the Law Enforcement Department, the Purchasing Department conducted a request for proposals for Law Enforcement Uniforms through the online Guilford County Electronic Purchasing System in Event # 642.
Only one Company (Galls, LLC) responded to the event.
Based on the submittal, Galls scored highest. The recommendation for Galls is based on the
following:
*Galls has been providing the Sheriff's Office with excellent service for the last five (5) years and continues to maintain a great working relationship
*Galls is nationally known company in Public Safety
*Galls provides a large selection of products while being one of the most competitive in price point
*Galls has an excellent performance and customer service record with the County.
