BACKGROUND
background
The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office is seeking to utilize Extra Duty Solutions to engage with individuals and representatives of companies, organizations and institutions who wish to hire Deputies to work extra-duty employment (employment outside the scope of regular duty assignments). Extra Duty Solutions will utilize phone, website and email interaction to explain program rules, rates and vet new customers per the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office guidelines, execute the new customer process, receive requests for extra duty employment, gather and communicate related pertinent information and feedback.
Extra Duty Solutions will supply administrator access via website to a Guilford County Sheriff’s Office representative for full transparency and oversight of this agreement with checks and balances for all Guilford County fee collections. Extra Duty Solutions will provide 24/7/365 customer care assistance for this duty with web portal and mobile application access for Guilford County Sheriff’s Office employees seeking extra duty employment. Extra Duty Solutions will collect all payments owed to Deputies, forward those directly to them and handle yearly IRS related documentation for them.
Extra Duty Solutions transfers the cost to operate the program from the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and ultimately from the taxpayers of Guilford County to the companies, organizations and institutions who wish to hire officers. Extra Duty Solutions will replace the current company in use which charges the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office a fee for use of their software to provide this service.
