BACKGROUND
Background
On April 30, 2019, the Guilford County Board of Education (BOE) approved the transfer of $7,113,803 for a combination of immediate repairs to address water intrusion concerns at Gateway Education Center ($1,890,000: $1,600,000 for roof repair/replacement and $290,000 for window repairs) and a Career and Technical Education (CTE) Capital Improvement Project ordinance to fund capital improvements at six (6) signature CTE academies at the following schools: Academy at Smith, Kearns Academy, Northeast High School, Smith High School, Southeast High School, and Western High School ($5,223,803).

Funds will come from the existing project ordinances for Smith High School Academy, Northeast High School, Ragsdale High School, Southeast High School, Summerfield Elementary School, Southeast Middle School, North Greensboro Area Elementary Schools, Allen Jay Middle School, Dudley High School - Athletics, Northwest High School - Site & Athletics, Page High School - Athletics, Bluford Elementary School - Renovation, Dudley High - New Traffic Pattern, Guilford Middle School - Replacement, High Point Central - Addition/Renovation, Northwood Elementary School, and Smith High School - Athletic Renovation.
