BACKGROUND
background
The proposed agreement between the Town of Gibsonville and Guilford County are for the billing and collection of ad valorem taxes (not including motor vehicle taxes collected by the State of North Carolina under NCGS Chapter 105, Article 22A) within the Town by the County. The agreement is effective July 1, 2019 and is subject to final approval and any non-material revisions made by the County Manager. The agreement shall continue for a term of two (2) years, unless terminated pursuant to the terms therein. The County will charge an annual fee of $9,218.85 for FY 2019-20 collection services payable by December 31, 2019. The annual fee for collection services for FY 2020-21 shall be calculated based on 0.62% of the collections by the Town for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2019.
