BACKGROUND
Background
Cone Health Foundation of Greensboro has awarded a grant to DHHS-Public Health Division. This grant has provided funding for a dedicated clinic for young adult males and females for services such as sports/school physicals, immunizations, and behavioral health screenings, along with educating young adults on making good choices and preventing unintended consequences. This grant was originally approved by the Board of Commissioners in November 2015 and has had multiple renewals. The previous contracts funded a 0.75 FTE Nurse Specialist I, and a 0.75 FTE Certified Medical Assistant. With the current renewal, which covers the period 10/01/2018 thru 09/30/2019, the budget was approved to fund the Nurse Specialist I position at 1.0 FTE and the 0.75 FTE Certified Medical Assistant position was not requested.

Requested Action
Approve the following changes to DHHS- Public Health Division positions; increase the grant-funded Nurse Specialist I position from 0.75 to 1.0 FTE, contingent upon continued grant funding, and elimination of the 0.75 FTE Certified Medical Assistant, both funded by the Cone Health Foundation for the young adult clinic.
