BACKGROUND
Background
At the 2-25-2019 Commissioner's Annual Retreat of the Board of County Commissioners, the Board approved projects and a plan to issue $40,000,000 "two-thirds" general obligation bonds to fund these County projects.

The first step in the process to issue the bonds is for the Board to consider the following resolutions
(1) making certain required findings,
(2) introducing a bond order authorizing $30,000,000 “two-thirds” general obligation bonds for public buildings, including without limitation mental health facilities, emergency medical service facilities, animal shelter facilities and law enforcement administration facilities, and including the acquisition and construction of new public buildings, the improvement and expansion of existing public buildings and the acquisition and installation of furnishings and equipment and the acquisition of interests in real property required therefor and to pay capital costs of such improvements and
(3) introducing a bond order authorizing $10,000,000 “two-thirds” general obligation bonds for school facilities, including school security improvements, the acquitions and construction of new school facilities, the improvement and expansion of existing school facilities, and the acquisition and installation of furnishings and equipment and the acquisition of interests in real property required therefor, and to pay captial costs of such improvements, and
(4) calling a public hearing on the bond order to be held at the meeting on April 4.

The requested action is approval of the before referenced resolutions.
