BACKGROUND
Background
The Guilford County Sheriff’s Office has received a grant from the Governor’s Highway Safety Program in the amount of $35,000.00. This grant is to be used to purchase one fully outfitted law enforcement vehicle to be used for highway safety efforts. Through continued partnership between the Guilford County Sheriff’s Office and the NC Governor’s Highway Safety Program, the Sheriff’s Office commitment to highway safety is a collaborative effort.

Requested Action
Approve the Governor’s Highway Safety Grant in the amount of $35,000.00 for the purchase of one fully outfitted patrol vehicle to be used for highway safety efforts and endorse the Agreement of Conditions and the Resolution; Approve associated budget amendment to increase $17,500 in Federal/State Revenue and increase the FY 2018-19 Law Enforcement budget by the same amount to reflect receipt of the grant funds.
