BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Emergency Management has been awarded additional funding through the 2018 Homeland Security Grant Program (HSGP) from North Carolina Emergency Management (NCEM), for the purposes of purchasing Multiple Event Response Trailers (MERT) for the Domestic Preparedness Region #5. The sum of the NCEM grant MOA #1838, is $56,400 and will be for the purpose of purchasing four trailers to support large scale emergencies and pre-planned events within Region #5. The trailers will be housed in Guilford County, Davy County, Yadkin County amd Surry Counties.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve the Grant MOA as written and a $56,400 increase in Federal/State Revenue and increase the FY 2018-19 Emergency Services budget by the same amount, to reflect receipt of additional funding through the 2018 Homeland Security Grant Program from North Carolina Emergency Management. Funds will be used to purchase Multiple Event Response Trailers for the region.
