BACKGROUND
Background
At the end of FY 2017-18, Guilford County Animal Services requested and the Board of Commissioners approved creation of the "Have A Heart Fund" program in Animal Services and an assigned fund balance for donations received for the program. Due to the proximity of the creation of the program to the end of the fiscal year, no funds were appropraited for "Have A Heart" in FY 2018-19. Animal Services is requesting an appropriation of $5,000 for Have A Heart in the current fiscal year ($2,000 in unspent donations received at the end of FY 2017-18 and assigned to this purpose plus an additional $3,000 anticipated in FY 2018-19).

Requested Action
Approve increases of $2,000 in Appropriated Fund Balance (prior Have A Heart donations) and $3,000 in Other Revenues (anticipated donations), and increase the FY 2018-19 Animal Services budget to reflect actual and anticipated donations for the Have A Heart Fund program.
