BACKGROUND
Background
The City Archdale is engaged in the construction of a municipal sewer line in connection with the Weant Road 16 Inch Sewage Force Main project. A portion of the property needed for the sewer line is owned by Johnny M. Frye and Patricia J. Frye at 1840 Weant Road, High, Point, North Carolina and is located on the Randolph and Guilford County Lines. Attached is a copy of the Resolution passed by Archdale which contains a description of the property together with a description of the sewer easement being sought by Archdale. GIS Map and Tax info on the subject property for comdementation for both Guilford and Randolph Counties.
Additional consent is also necessary for the aquistion of easments from consenting land owners, easement deeds attached and identified in map.
NCGS 153A-15(a) and (b) require a municipality to get the consent of the adjoining board of county commissioners before finalizing the judgment for condemnation in their county. Archdale would like to obtain the consent of Guilford County to condemn a sewer easement across the subject property lying in Guilford County.
