Background
Guilford County EMS is seeking a parcel of real estate to complete its 800 mhz system with the placement of an antennea in the southeastern portion of Guilford County. They have targeted a 1.5 - 2.0 acre portion of the 50.68 acres located at 6517 Dusty Rd in Liberty and owned by Thomas Black. The EMS Department, along with Property Management, has negotiated with the land owner to purchase this property for $40,000.00. The exact acreage and layout of the property will be determined by survey and assessment by the EMS Department and the property owner.

Funding is available in the current 800 MHz Infrastructure Upgrade capital project ordinance. NO ADDITIONAL COUNTY FUNDS REQUIRED.

Authorize staff to proceed with the contracting of the property, in substantial form, and to proceed with Due Diligence for the property located at 6517 Dusty Rd in Liberty, NC and authorize staff to take all reasonable and necessary steps close the purchase of the property.
