BACKGROUND

Background

This budget amendment is necessary to continue use of unexpended grant funds from FY 2017-18. Grant funds impacted by this adjustment will be the High Intensity Drug Trafficking Area Grant, Governors' Highway Safety Law Enforcement Liaison Grant, Governors' Highway Safety DWI Task Force Grant, Governors' Highway Safety Bike Safe Grant, Governors' Highway Safety DWI Educator Grant, Department of Public Safety Reentry Grant. An adjustment of $206,214 is required for additional Federal & State Funds left unexpended in FY 2017-18, with a balancing appropriation of $198,809 increase in the FY 2018-19 Law Enforcement budget and a $7,405 decrease in local funds (appropriated fund balance) budgeted.
