BACKGROUND
background
In August 2015 Guilford County entered into a contract with Malachi House IIHouse II to provide cleanding, animal care and maintence services at the Guilford COunty Animal Shelter. An amendment was executed to extend the terms of the contract for periods from July 1, 2016 through December 31, 2016. Additional amendments were approved to to extend the same terms to the contract to cover the period of January 1, 2017 through September 2018. The contract amendment before the board is to extend the existing contract through the remainder of teh fiscal year to allow staff a full year to assess services prior to any decisions being made for going out for bid. The expected financial exposure for this amendment is not expected to exceed $310,000.00
