BACKGROUND
background
The Purchasing Department conducted online Event #624 in the Guilford County eProcurement System for Emergency Services. Two bids were received; of the two bids Bound Tree Medical was determined to be the lowest, responsive, responsible bidder. The initial contract is for three (3) years effective August 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2021. The contract has two (2) additional one-year renewal options with a potential annual increase not to exceed 3% of the original annual cost of $335,812.96. The first renewal option is effective July 1, 2021 and ends June 30, 2022; the second renewal period is effective July 1, 2022 and ends June 30, 2023.

Approve a price only contract in substantial form with Bound Tree Medical (located at 5000 Tuttle Crossing Blvd. Dublin, OH 43016) for Medical Supplies for EMS. The cost for the initial three (3) year contract term is $1,007,438.88. The first renewal option will not exceed $345,887.35; the second renewal option will not exceed $356,263.97. The total cost for the potential five (5) year contract term will not exceed $1,709,590.20.
