BACKGROUND
background
The Purchasing Department conducted online event # 601 in the Guilford County eProcurement System for DHHS - Public Health Medical and Clinical Supplies. Four bids were received. Of the four bids McKesson Medical-Surgical Inc. was determined to be the lowest, responsive responsible bidder. The initial contract is for three (3) years, effective July 1, 2018 and ending June 30, 2021. The contract has two (2) additional one-year renewal options with a potential annual increase not to exceed 3% of the original annual cost of up to $93,108.72. The first renewal option is effective July 1, 2021 and ends June 30, 2022; the second renewal period is effective July 1, 2022 and ends June 30, 2023.

Approve a price only contract, in substantial form, with McKesson Medical - Surgical Inc. (located at 954 Maryland Drive, Suite 4000 Richmond, VA 23233) for Clinical and Medical Supplies. The cost for the initial three (3) year contract term is $279,326.20. The first renewal option will not exceed $95,901.98. The second one (1) year renewal option will not exceed $98,779.04. The total cost for the potential five (5) year contract term will not exceed $474,007.20.
