BACKGROUND
background
Bid Event 616 was let to solicit bids to establish fixed unit prices for Basic Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Services for various Guilford County Departments. The initial term of each contract period is three (3) years to begin on July 1, 2018, and end on June 30, 2021, with two additional one (1) year renewal options.
The recommended vendors are:
1. Casey's Tire & Automotive, Inc D/B/A Casey's Tire Pros & Automotive Inc. - $200,000.00, per year.
2. CI Fleet Solutions - $200.000.00, per year.
3. Clarke Power Services, Inc. - $200,000.00, per year.
4. Mobile Communications, Inc. 200,000.00, per year.
5. R and R Car Care Center - $250,000.00, per year.
6. J.P. Thomas & Co, Inc. (Thomas tire) - 250,000.00, per year.
7. Vann York Chevrolet, Inc. - 100,000.00, per year.
8. Reisenweaver Communications Inc (RCS Wireless Technology) - 200,000.00, per year.
9. HDJR Enterprise - $25,000.00, per year.

Approve the 9 price only contracts, in substantial form, for Basic Vehicle Maintenance and Repair Services for various Guilford County Departments. The cost for the initial three (3) year contract term is not expected to exceed $4,875,000.00. Each renewal option is not expected to exceed $1,625,000.00 annually, with the total cost for the potential five (5) year contract term not expected to exceed $8,125,000.00.
