BACKGROUND
Background
Guilford County Department of Health and Human Services - Public Health Division receives funding from the NCDHHS Women’s and Children’s Health Section/Nutrition Services Branch for Women, Infant & Children's (WIC) Breastfeeding and Peer Counseling to enhance and increase the incidence and duration of breastfeeding among women enrolled in the WIC program. In addition to Federal/State revenue, County funding is utilized to supplement program expenses. We are requesting to decrease the FY 2017-18 budget by $44,706 in federal/state revenue, and $18,760 in appropriated fund balance, for an overall decrease of $63,466 to align the budget with actual funds received.
