BACKGROUND
Background
The City of Greensboro MPO had prepared the Enhance Elderly and Persons with Disability Program grant 5310 application budget for FY18 to be submitted to the FTA Federal Transit Authority Operating and Capital assistance which is always behind a year. The application includes funding for 3,800 additional trips. An inter-local agreement is needed to be signed between the County and the City of Greensboro.
The Transportation Department had prepared the Enhance Elderly and Person with Disability Program application 5310 application budget for FY18 last year in April 2017 to the City of Greensboro. FTA is always a year behind in approving applications. The application provides Operating and Capital assistance related to the operation of the county's public transit system. Attached is a summary of the application request and authorizing signatures for the inter-local agreement. The total amount of the application is $100,000. The local match is $50,000. The application requires the Board of County Commissioners to sign an inter-local agreement between the County and the City of Greensboro.
