BACKGROUND
Background
Cooperative Extension has received $3,000 in funding from the NC Agriculture Foundation to support the FoodCorps program, which provides nutrition education and assists with sustainable gardening for Guilford County schools located within the City of High Point. This funding will assist with stipends for two (2) interns who offer Common Core and Essential Standards nutrition education through outdoor garden classrooms and cooking classes designed to engage children and their families.

REQUESTED ACTION
Requested Action
Approve an increase in Other Revenues by $3,000 and increase the FY 2017-18 Cooperative Extension Service budget by the same amount to reflect the revenue received from the NC Agricultural Foundation for the FoodCorps program, which provides nutrition and gardening education for Guilford County schools located within the City of High Point.
