BACKGROUND
Background
In accordance with state statutes, local governments are authorized to purchase off of state contracts without competitive bidding. Guilford County currently purchases photocopier services with Toshiba America Business Solutions Inc. off of their North Carolina state contract. The County plans to execute an agreement with Toshiba to formalize pricing that has been negotiated below the published state contract rate. A low monthly fee and per page rate provide the basis for the charges. The PRICE ONLY contract term is for four years beginning on July 1, 2018 and ending on June 30, 2022 with a one-year renewal option beginning on July 1, 2022 and ending on June 30, 2023.

Approve a PRICE ONLY contract in substantial form, with Toshiba America Business Solution (located at PO Box 1299, Mount Gilead, NC) in the annual estimated amount of $290,038 effective July 1, 2018 for a four year term with one potential additional year renewal for a total of up to five years. The total estimated amount for the potential five year period is $1,450,190.
